A low growing, evergreen carpet which produces an abundance of mauve to lilac blooms, in early spring for edges, rockeries and tubs. Prefers a sunny position with well drained soil

Sow indoors February to April, Ourdoors April to June

Indoors

In trys of seed compost. Sow thinly, do not cover seed with compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. keep at approx 18 degrees. Seedlings appear 21-35 days

Outdoors

In a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 20cm (8in) apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.

Indoors

Remove cover when seedlings apear. When large enough transplant 5cm (2in) apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions. Transplant 30cm (12in) apart in flowering position in September to October. Keep moist and weed free
